FACIAL SURGERY

The demand for cosmetic procedures on the face is constantly increasing.

Facial surgery can correct certain unsightly parts of the face at any age. It is also a recognized means of countering the effects of aging on the face (thick, sad appearance, saggy skin, appearance of wrinkles). The possibilities of facial surgery are numerous and can compensate for a variety of imperfections on the face. Facial surgery is suitable for men and women of all ages.

Centro-facial lifting

Drooping eyelids, pronounced dark circles, loss of volume in the cheekbones, appearance of cheek lumps... These signs of facial aging are due to sagging muscles and skin. These small imperfections, often considered unsightly, can be corrected by cosmetic surgery.

The mid-face lift

The centrofacial facelift is one of the most performed facelifts by cosmetic surgeons. The central face lift harmonizes your face and brings the anatomical structures back to a more youthful position. This surgical intervention concerns the central part of the face, in particular the dark circles, the lower eyelids and the cheekbones, but also the nasolabial folds (vertical folds going from the nasal bridge to the mouth).

These signs of aging give the face a sad expression and the impression of a tired appearance. To look good, feel better or rejuvenate the face, more and more people are resorting to this type of intervention.

Fronto-temporal lifting

With age, wrinkles naturally appear on the face, especially on the forehead and eyebrows. These disgraces can be corrected by cosmetic surgery of the forehead called the fronto-temporal lift. The Clinique du Lac explains everything there is to know about this common procedure, performed from the age of 40 for both men and women.

What is the fronto-temporal lift?

Among the different possible facelift procedures, we find the fronto-temporal facelift. This act of cosmetic surgery is one of the most complete, because it allows both to correct wrinkles on the forehead and those in the temporal region. The fronto-temporal facelift contains two distinct interventions, performed at the same time for optimal results.

Eyelid surgery

Allows you to remove the sad and tired appearance and restore the appearance of a few years ago.

Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic operation of the eyelids aimed at eliminating hereditary or age-related beauty defects.

They can only affect the two upper or lower eyelids or even all four eyelids at the same time.

A blepharoplasty can be performed alone or in combination with another cosmetic facial surgery procedure (brow lift, temporal face lift, cervical face lift) or even medical-surgical therapy (laser brasion, peeling, dermabrasion) be performed. These actions are likely to be performed during the same operation or during a second operation.

Neck lift

The neck facelift is most often performed to surgically correct aging from the temporal region to the maxillary region.

Firming the neck is the natural repositioning of the muscles and the adaptation of the skin of the face and neck.

The purpose of such an intervention is not to change the shape and appearance of the face. On the contrary, the simple restoration of the different anatomical structures of the face and neck (skin, muscles, fat) allows the operated patient to restore the appearance he had a few years ago.

The objective of the operation is to treat sagging and loosening of the facial skin and muscles (temples and eyebrows, cheeks, cheekbones, oval face) and neck.

Lipostructure

Lipostructure, also called lipofilling, is a revolutionary technique for filling and rejuvenating the face.

We inject the patient with their own fat, but by placing it at different levels, we manage to modify the structure of the tissue: the fat does not fill, it envelops the tissue.

Lipostructure is perfectly indicated in the early stages of aging, when facial fullness is lost through the melting of fatty tissue and the skin remains the same, but without the underlying structures, resulting in fine lines and wrinkles.

When the missing volume reappears, the wrinkles disappear. It is one of the techniques that gives the best results in the rejuvenation of the cheekbones and the orbital frame.

Rhinoplasty: Plastic surgery of the nose

Rhinoplasty is the plastic and aesthetic surgery of the nose (what you need to know before having your nose renewed).

The purpose of the intervention is to reshape the nose to make it more beautiful. This is the targeted correction of existing anomalies, whether congenital, due to trauma or the aging process: the elimination of a bump, the refinement of a nose that is too wide, too big or a tip unsightly.

The goal is a natural-looking nose that harmonizes with other facial features, matches the patient's psyche and personality, and meets their requirements.

Otoplasty: protruding ear surgery

Otoplasty is surgery for protruding or enlarged ears. In most cases, both ears are repaired, but sometimes only one ear needs surgery. It is important to emphasize that this procedure is cosmetic only and does not affect hearing.

During otoplasty, the doctor corrects abnormalities in the cartilage of the auricle to reposition and reshape the ears to improve their appearance.
